The Adams County Museum is a nonprofit and relies a lot on its dedicated volunteers to keep the nine-building complex operating. Our funding mainly comes from the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and our annual fundraisers, which would not be possible without volunteers!
Volunteers help staff the museum during special events, such as Heritage Day, Senior Day, Christmas Past & Present and Veterans Day. Volunteers help make goodies and serve them during our annual Christmas and Mother’s Day teas. Volunteers become educational guides during our school tours in September, April and May. Volunteers become door admission collectors for the four craft shows each year, which are our biggest fundraisers.
