Prairie Rose School House & Gazebo
The production, "A Prairie Rose" was presented in 1918 starring Bertha Strohmeyer as Rose Wilder, a Prairie Rose. Strohmeyer's high school debut would later become the name of a replica one-room schoolhouse at the Adams County Historical Museum. There were textbooks, usually the McGuffey Readers, a popular series created in 1836 and use for about 100 years.
Carlson Cultural Center
Exhibits featuring an extraordinary scale collection of Clifford Lushbough's & a remarkable hand carved Last Supper Table
Hosner General Blacksmith Shop
Tools of the blacksmith, many handmade, can be seen inside the building. The shop is a replica of the blacksmith shop that served Keenesburg, Colorado. Floyd Hosmer and family donated all blacksmith shop equipment for the museum shop which opened in August 1993.
Conoco Gas Station
The station is a replica. Conoco regular gas sold for 16 cents a gallon and Ethyl sold for 18 ce3nts a gallon and Ethyl has lead in it and is not used today.
Hoffman Hall
Inside Hoffman Hall are a variety of exhibits such as the dentistry exhibit, sewing exhibit, tools and machinery for a variety of eras.
1887 Henderson House
This house was originally located on Brighton Road. It was relocated to the Museum in 1999. The inside of the House was restored and there is a 'cellar' and a second floor.
Colorado Southern Railroad Caboose
The caboose was built around 1920. It was originally equipped as an office car where the conductor handled the way bills.
