1920s Dental Cuspidor
A 1920s dental cuspidor is a porcelain or metal bowl, often with a rinse fountain, used in dental offices for patients to spit into during treatment. These were common fixtures in dental practices during that era, often part of a larger integrated dental unit, such as a chair/cuspidor unit or were part of a more comprehensive unit that had an electric drill, light, and spittoon, into a single, convenient workspace. These were made by Pelton & Crane, a company specializing in dental equipment since 1900, around the 1920s.. The tube coming out though the bottom and out towards the side table appears to to be a electric waste disposal for the spit.
