Maytag Wringer Washer Model 92
On display is a very interesting washing machine, the Maytag Wringer Washer Model 92 wash made by the Maytag Corporation, who was founded in 1893 in Newton, Iowa, by F.L. Maytag. The company initially produced farm machinery before expanding into household appliances, until 2006 when it was acquired by Whirlpool. This washer was powered by electricity to spin the motor that was made by the General Eleiritc Company or if you didn’t have electricity then you can use the optional 3/4 HP two-stroke gasoline engine, with attached black flexible exhaust pipe to channel most of the blue smoke and carbon monoxide outdoors. Just like any other top-opening washer, the cast aluminum tub can wash 50 lbs. of clothing. The motorized wringer will wring your clothes mostly dry; which can adjust itself automatically for handkerchiefs and blankets. If you are wondering if you can do anything more with this Washer, you can! You can buy optional attachments for a meat grinder and a butter churn.
